๐Ÿ” I almost created a membership this week ๐Ÿ˜†

Hello and welcome to my experience design lens series, Reader ๐Ÿ‘‹

Not theory.
Not frameworks.
But the real decisions underneath the work.

The parts most people donโ€™t see.

Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website.

๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ”

Say what?

I almost created a membership this week!

No joke.

Before even sharing my steampunk image on Monday and getting several replies asking for the prompt, I could already feel my brain running ahead.

You know the drill...

"What if I created themed prompt packs?"
"What if I turned this into a membership?"
"What if I shared new prompts every month?"

Five minutes later I was basically planning a whole new business ๐Ÿ˜†

The funny part?

That's not even what people were responding to.
And I would have completely missed that if I hadn't stayed curious a little longer.

Because once the conversations started happening, something else became obvious.

People weren't really interested in prompting.
They were interested in what the image represented.

The image made something visible.

Personality.
Identity.
Possibility.

Things that are usually hard to explain with words alone.

And suddenly I realized something.
The most interesting part wasn't the prompt.
It was the visual.

Not because it looked cool.
But because
it made the invisible visible.

Now that's one thing I've been saying for a while.

But seeing it happen in real life when I wasn't even looking for it?
That hits differently.

Which brings me to something I've been thinking about as we start a new quarter.

Sometimes the most valuable thing isn't the result.
It's what the result is trying to show us.

But we miss it because we're already busy planning the next project.

Trust me, I've been there ๐Ÿ˜„

So instead of rushing into a new membership this week...
I'm staying curious.

And paying attention to what's actually happening before deciding what happens next.

That feels like a much better use of my energy right now.

Maybe yours too.

PS2: Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isnโ€™t finding the answer.
Itโ€™s realizing youโ€™ve been trying to solve the wrong problem.

NOTE: I'm moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project. Can you help me spot "bad experiences" regarding my site, your members' area, communications, or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you!

I make printables and editable templates that refuse to sit quietly in a downloads folder. You can use them yourselfโ€ฆ or rebrand and sell them as your own. Some spark creativity at home and create little screen-free moments. Others help creators turn simple ideas into products they can actually share with the world. And these days, I also help thoughtful creators spot the hidden friction between effort and results โ€” because sometimes a small shift is all it takes to get things moving again!
