🎨 Minecraft disappeared. So he moved it into our house. πŸ˜†

Hello and Welcome to the Creative Playground, Reader!

Pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and let's see what becomes possible when we revisit, remix, and reimagine what's already right in front of us.

Because sometimes the next opportunity isn't something new. It's seeing what you already have differently.

Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website.

This morning, I woke up to chaos.

I suppose this was expected, since Post-it warnings have been showing up all over the place lately...

Apparently, while I was sleeping, my 12-year-old had turned our house into a real-life version of Verity.

And I should probably watch myself until I figure out how to trap the thing. πŸ˜‚

There's a reason he took it this far.

He discovered Verity through YouTube... but he doesn't currently have access to Minecraft anymore.

So instead of abandoning the game?

He changed the container.

And somewhere between avoiding suspicious post-its and making coffee, I realized...
We business owners have been doing this forever.

Right now, there's a LOT of conversation about what happens to things we've built with GPTs when platforms change.

And yes, there are legitimate things to think about there.

But platform change isn't new.

The containers keep changing.

Websites.
Social platforms.
Memberships.
Apps.
GPTs.
Whatever comes next.

At first, the new thing itself can feel like an experience.

β€œWHOA. It does THAT?!”

Then more people use it.
Customers get accustomed to it.

And eventually yesterday's WHOA becomes today's:

β€œYeah... and?”

The novelty becomes a commodity.

Which is why I don't think the most important question is:

How do I protect this container forever?

I'd rather ask:

What made this worth experiencing in the first place?

Because if you understand that, you can carry it somewhere else.

My son didn't recreate Minecraft in our living room.

He carried the experience out of Minecraft and rebuilt it with post-its, imagination and a mildly concerned mother. πŸ˜‚

Your business can do that too.

The platform isn't the experience.

And if all the changes happening around you have you wondering how the heck your business is supposed to survive the chaos, what to keep, what to change, what to rebuild or what your next move should be...

hit reply.

Tell me what's changing or feeling messy.

I can't promise I'll know how to save you from a real-life Verity taking over your house. Apparently, I'm still working on that one. πŸ˜‚

But business chaos? That I can help you navigate.

PS: Just to be clear, I'm not about to help you create, sell or promote some new version of a GPT. πŸ˜† There is already PLENTY of noise about that!

My work goes underneath the platform: the experience you're creating, what people actually value about it, and what needs to happen next.

That doesn't become obsolete the next time a tech company changes its mind.

I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you!

I make printables and editable templates that refuse to sit quietly in a downloads folder. You can use them yourself… or rebrand and sell them as your own. Some spark creativity at home and create little screen-free moments. Others help creators turn simple ideas into products they can actually share with the world. And these days, I also help thoughtful creators spot the hidden friction between effort and results β€” because sometimes a small shift is all it takes to get things moving again!
